Three hour shifts, once a week at community pantry site. Bagging groceries for need families based on organizational standards. Good Communication skills, abilitiy to follow agency and pantry standards. Own transportation to site required. Pantries are located downtown, and out lying areas across the community.

6 times per year at Loaves & Fishes office, Monday- stuff & tape, Tuesday- Label and arrange in zipcode order. Times for both days is 9-12.

Call Center Volunteer
Answer client line, to set up a standard food order pick up at a pantry close to where client live. Need some computer knowledge, and friendly phone skills. Commitment: 3 hours once a week.
Two shifts available 9-12 & 12-3. Last 2 weeks of month biggest need, but have openings other times during month.
Bread Gleaner
Pick-up day old bread from a local grocery once per week, and transport in your own vehicle to the Loaves and Fishes warehouse. Must pick up bread between 8AM and 10AM on a week day (1-2 hour commitment). Medium to Large vehicle needed.
Warehouse Volunteer
Help sort and box canned food and bread, light lifting of around 30 pounds required. Other warehouse help such as filling orders for pantries and accepting in-kind donations as needed. Shifts available on weekday mornings, one day per week. Some afternoons.
Volunteer Truck Driver Needed
KLF needs volunteer drivers to help operateits Mobile pantry on weekday afternoons and/or evenings. The KLF truck is a 12 ft cube van with a 138" wheelbase. We need several volunteers with good driving records and experience in handling large vehicles with semi-loose cargo. Mobile Pantry Prep Team
The mobile pantry is a Loaves and Fishes pilot project to help feed more people at the end of the month. The mobile pantry is capable of feeding the needy at nearly any location in Kalamazoo County. We are seeking volunteers who would be able to commit 2-3 hours one day per month.
For the Prep Team - Need is one day, early afternoon, twice a month.
