Use Your Voice: Letter Writing Workshop on May 20

Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes, in partnership with the People’s Food Co-op, is hosting a community letter writing workshop on Sunday, May 20 from 2-4 pm at our facility at 901 Portage St.

We invite you to write our local legislators, urging them to protect crucial safety net programs—like SNAP and WIC—as well as sustainable agricultural initiatives that promote overall food security.

We’ll have sample letters and fact sheets for you, as well as all the pens, paper, and postage. Now we just need YOU to put your opinion in writing and tell our policymakers what needs to happen to ensure Kalamazoo County has the chance to be a food secure community.
